Thaler's vent stack flashing line for membrane and sloped roofs: a one-piece spun metal sleeve with an integral deck flange, sealed to the pipe with an EPDM triple pressure grommet seal and an EPDM base seal meant to keep condensation from forming. Section A of the Thaler catalog covers New-Standard models in uninsulated and insulated versions (the insulated ones with injection-molded urethane insulation), hub-above-roof, removable-cap and sloped-roof versions, and vandal-proof flashings and vent stack caps. Standard sleeves fit 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in. vent stacks in 7, 13 and 19 in. heights (SJ-34, SJ-35, SJ-36), in 0.064 in. mill finish aluminum, 24 oz. copper or 22-gauge Type 304 stainless steel, and the deck flange can be PVC or TPO coated or bituminous painted to suit the membrane. The catalog states conformance to CSA B272-93 and a 20-year warranty against leaks, condensation and defects when installed to Thaler's instructions, and says any caulking voids the warranty.
