Thaler's ARS family of flashed rooftop supports for architectural and access items rather than mechanical equipment. Section E of the catalog lists floating and fire-route walkway supports, rail post, flag pole, trellis and brace supports, satellite dish and antenna supports, guy wire roof and wall supports, A/C unit screen supports, access ladder, metal stair and stair platform supports, upright angle and miscellaneous plate supports, galvanized snow guard roof supports (ARS-600), and cross-over stair and tilt-up access ladder assemblies. The catalog describes a threaded leg with up to 4 in. of height adjustment, 6061-T6 aluminum filled with injection-molded urethane insulation, and Thaler preformed metal flashings with EPDM seals that need no caulking, citing CSA B272-93. It says the supports can be taken apart and reused when re-roofing and carries a 20-year warranty against leaks, condensation and defects when installed to Thaler's instructions.
