Texotropic Fibered Aluminum Roof Coating (product code 3040) is a thick gel coating of asphalt, aluminum flakes and synthetic reinforcing fiber for roll roofing, metal, asphalt and gravel roofs and MIGHTYPLATE modified bitumen membrane. The data sheet states the formulation meets ASTM D2824 Type III (non-asbestos). It lists a soft silver color, 14 dry mils at 1.5 gallons per 100 square feet, and application by brush, roller, squeegee or spray. The maker also lists use inside lumber dry kilns.
