MIGHTYPLATE Modified Bitumen Primer (product code 3001) is a fast-drying asphalt primer used under MIGHTYPLATE APP modified bitumen membrane where the substrate lacks adequate asphalt, such as concrete decks, masonry parapets, metal flashings and aged asphalt roofs. The data sheet lists 55 percent asphalt by weight, a typical rate of 0.75 to 1 gallon per 100 square feet, and application by brush, roller or spray. It must cure for a recommended minimum of three days before the membrane is torched over it.
