A glass-fiber-reinforced, granular-surfaced, self-adhesive modified bituminous roofing underlayment for use under slate and asphalt shingles. Mineral granules on the upper surface provide skid-resistant footing during installation. It protects the deck against leaks from ice damming and wind-driven rain in valleys, ridges, coping joints, chimneys, vents, dormers, skylights and low-slope sections, and self-seals around nail penetrations. The spec sheet gives a 30-day exposure limit and 56-mil nominal thickness, available in 1-square and 2-square rolls. The sheet's own warranty clause states the product "is warranted to be free from manufacturer's defects" without printing a duration.
