TAMKO's 12-1/4 in. x 12 in. Hip & Ridge is a precut hip and ridge shingle, a 12-1/4 in. x 36 in. shingle scored into three pieces and laid at a 5-1/8 in. exposure, made with the same fiberglass mat and granule blends as Heritage and Proline shingles, with a factory-applied sealant strip. It is for use with TAMKO 3-tab, architectural and UL 2218 Class 3 impact-rated shingles, and TAMKO states it is classified by UL for compliance with UL 2218 Class 3 impact resistance, noting that the dropped-steel-ball test may not correlate with real-world hail. The limited warranty covering the field shingles extends to it.
