Western Red Cedar ridge caps made by S&W Forest Products from its tapersawn shakes, which S&W says are often used on both shingle and shake roofs. S&W lists Premium and Number 1 grades, 18 in. and 24 in. lengths, 5/8, 3/4 and 7/8 in. thicknesses, a 6 in. width, and roof exposures of 7.5 in. (18 in.) and 10 in. (24 in.), under its Certi-Ridge brochure. Fire-retardant and CCA preservative treatment are available. The page advertises S&W's 30/50 year warranty, but the warranty's own schedule does not list ridge caps.
