Certi-Split brand cedar shakes with split faces and sawn backs, produced by splitting cedar blanks and running them diagonally through a bandsaw to produce two tapered shakes per blank, giving a rustic roof appearance. Available in Premium and Number 1 grades, 18 in. and 24 in. lengths, 1/2 in. (medium), 3/4 in. (heavy), and 1 in.+ (jumbo) thicknesses, and 4 in. to 14 in. widths, with roof exposure of 7 1/2 in. (18 in. length) or 10 in. (24 in. length). Fire-retardant treatment and CCA preservative treatment are offered on all S&W shakes and shingles.
