Also called Straight Splits, cedar shakes split on both sides from the same block used for handsplit shakes but not cut on the diagonal, so the shake is the same thickness throughout. Available in Premium Grade, 18 in. and 24 in. lengths, 3/8 in. and 1/2 in. thicknesses, and 4 in. to 14 in. widths, with roof exposure of 7 1/2 in. (18 in. length) or 10 in. (24 in. length).
