SureSet is a quick-set white elastomeric basecoat used to embed Poly-Mesh polyester reinforcement in the SureCoat Roof System, and it must be top coated with SureCoat within about 4 months. The data sheet states resistance to light dew, mist and rain after as little as 2 to 12 hours at 75 F and application down to 40 F, over BUR and cap sheet, metal, SPF, single-ply including EPDM, modified bitumen and concrete, but not over silicone. It calls for 2.5 to 3 gallons per 100 sq ft and a dry film of at least 25 to 30 mils. It lists conformance with ASTM D6083 and TT-C-555B wind-driven rain, 380% elongation at 73 F (ASTM D4212), a VOC of 1 g/L, and ASTM E108 Class A as a "UL Equivalent" for the coating as a component of the SureCoat Roof System.
