A custom-engineered, self-supporting sloped skylight system of extruded aluminum framing (6005-T5 or 6061-T6 principal members, 0.125 in. minimum) with EPDM glazing strips, exterior glass retainers wet-sealed with silicone under snap-on caps, and an integral condensation gutter system. Glazing options are the Basic Glazing System, the Total Flush Glazed System and a skylight skin system for continuously supported structures, with heat-treated, laminated or insulating glass; optional thermal break framing and aluminum rain gutters are offered, and configurations include pyramid, ridge with hip and gable, dome, vault, single pitch and radial skylights. The guide specification requires no water penetration when tested to ASTM E331 and framing deflection limits under ASTM E330, and an optional hurricane and impact resistant version is covered by Miami-Dade Notices of Acceptance for large and small missile impact in laminated and insulated glass. The guide specification certifies the skylight frame free of design, material and construction defects for ten years from skylight completion, effective only after payment in full.
