The SunStyle 870 is a square, diamond-laid photovoltaic roof tile of monocrystalline PERC cells, 870 mm x 870 mm, which the SunStyle home page lists at 115 Wp per tile and 170 Wp per square meter and marks as available in the USA, Mexico, Canada and France. Its October 2023 technical specifications sheet prints a 7 mm tile of 6 mm textured high-transmission solar glass over a glass, EVA, cell, EVA and backsheet build, 115 Wc nominal power in black and 85 Wc in silver and terracotta, a system weight of 20 to 23 kg per square meter, Broof(t1) and Broof(t3) fire resistance, hail resistance to 50 mm hailstones (HW5), IEC 61215 and IEC 61730, installation on slopes between 10 and 60 degrees over a roof underlayment, a 10-year mechanical warranty and a performance guarantee of 90% at 10 years and 80% at 25 years. A U.S. tear sheet dated March 2022, still posted on the SunStyle site, describes the 870 mm shingle differently: 110 Wp, 17% efficiency, glass-glass construction with 3.2 mm front and back glass, a 25-year product guarantee, a 2:12 minimum roof pitch, and certifications including UL/IEC 61730-1 and 61730-2, UL/IEC 61215, UL 790 Class A fire, ASTM D3161 Class F wind, TAS 100 (A) wind-driven rain and UL 7103 mechanical loading.
