Super Base/HS is a one-part, water-based elastomeric acrylic coating used as the base coat under Super Therm or Sunshield, to seal tar, asphalt shingle, rubber, concrete and wood roofs and to fill seams and small cracks, with Multi Mesh Membrane polyester reinforcement for holes and large cracks. The technical data sheet (2/9/26) gives 30 sq ft per gallon on shingles and as the first layer of a roofing system, and 75 sq ft per gallon on modified bitumen and cap sheet. The maker's page states the roof must have some pitch and no ponding areas. The sheet lists an ASTM E84 flame spread result and USDA approval.
