Sunshield is a single-component, water-based elastomeric acrylic coating with four ceramic compounds, sold as the consumer version of Super Therm and stated by the maker as not intended for commercial and industrial use. The technical data sheet (7/17/21) lists it as a one-coat roof coating, a topcoat over metal roofs or an intermediate coat on flat roofs, applied at a total of at least 19 mils wet and 10 mils dry at 90 sq ft per gallon, with a VOC level of 21 g/L. A 2013 laboratory report published by the maker measured the white coating at 0.827 solar reflectance (ASTM C1549) and 0.892 thermal emittance (ASTM C1371).
