A self-adhered SBS-modified bitumen base ply with a high-tack self-adhesive layer, reinforced with a non-woven polyester mat, for multi-ply membrane roof waterproofing assemblies. The top carries a fine mineral aggregate for self- adhered and cold-adhesive application of the next ply, and the underside a polyolefin release film removed during installation. SOPREMA lists it as a field base ply or field cap sheet to ASTM D6164 Type I Grade S.
