An asphalt-based, multi-purpose plastic cement applied by trowel or knife, made from fibers, asphalt, minerals, plasticizers and aromatic hydrocarbons. SOPREMA lists it for repairing leaks, cracks and holes in shingles, concrete, and steel or metal roofs, and for flashings around skylights and gutters. A premium grade, 501 PREMIUM ALL-WEATHER ROOFING MASTIC, is listed separately and is described as adhering to prepared surfaces wet or dry.
