Products / Solatube Solar Star IM 1500 Interior Mounted Attic Fan

A solar attic fan that mounts inside the attic behind an existing passive gable, dormer, powered or whirlybird vent and turns it into active, solar-powered ventilation, while its 16-watt solar panel sits separately on the roof. It is sold as a core model or with Solatube's ClimaSense controller, which runs the fan up to 4 hours after sunset and on set temperature and humidity limits. The installation instructions list the fan assembly, a solar panel with frame and 15 ft of cable, fastening screws, and anchors and stand-off spacers for tile roof applications, with roof sealant ordered separately. Solatube's limited warranty gives solar attic fans 10 years on the solar panel and motor and on the housing, flashing base, fan blade, seals and fasteners, and 5 years on the ClimaSense controller, excluding labor.
