The Original Metal is a prismatic metal snow guard formed after the maker's Original Polycarbonate guard, for metal, slate, tile and asphalt shingle roofs. Installed diagonally it creates a 5 inch barrier for more coverage per unit on wider panels, and it is attached with tube adhesive or mechanical fasteners; versions with a plate, a slotted tab and in copper are offered. The specification lists copper, stainless steel, terne metal, prefinished steel or aluminum, lead-coated copper, Galvalume, Freedom Gray and zinc.
