Mega Cap is an "original" capped roofing nail with an enlarged 1 5/8-inch Galvalume (AZ55) cap that the data sheet states doubles the rupture value of a standard cap nail, letting fewer nails achieve the same rupture resistance and reducing the number of holes in a base-sheet membrane. It has an annular-grooved shank for added pullout resistance and is available in a single 1 1/4-inch length, driven by a stand-up tool or hand hammer, for use as a base sheet, thin insulation, base flashing, asphalt/aluminum/ slate/tile shingle, and metal batten/flat/standing-seam fastener, and as a perimeter wood-nailer fastener for nailable copings, cant strips, and curbs.
