Sikaplan Universal is a 60 mil (1.5 mm) PVC thermoplastic roof membrane with a polyester scrim reinforcement, a factory-applied lacquer top coating and hot-air welded seams, with the Pro-Weld visual weld-temperature indicator. It is used in adhered, in-seam disc, in-seam batten double-weld and RhinoBond systems for new construction and reroofing. It ships in 10 ft by 100 ft and 5 ft by 100 ft rolls in white, reflective gray and tan, and as Sikaplan Universal-60 Feltback EnergySmart with a 9 oz. recycled felt backing in 10 ft by 100 ft rolls. The maker lists FM Global, UL, ULC, ICC-ES ESR-1157, Miami-Dade County, Florida Building Code and California Title 24 among its approvals.
