Base Sheet NB 48 is a 48 mil (1.2 mm) SBS modified, fiberglass-reinforced base sheet for Sarnafil hybrid roofing systems, sanded on both sides, with a topside that accepts hot asphalt for attaching Sika's ply sheet. It is mechanically fastened over lightweight insulating concrete on metal deck or over cementitious wood fiber decks, and comes in 36 in by 108 ft rolls. The data sheet lists ASTM D4601 Type II, Underwriters Laboratories and the Florida Building Code, and states it was tested to ASTM E108 and to ANSI/FM 4474 and Miami-Dade TAS 114 for wind uplift.
