Sarnatherm XPS is a rigid extruded polystyrene insulation board with a smooth skin on both faces, used in conventional roof assemblies (new and recover, mechanically attached or adhered) and in Sika waterproofing applications. Boards come in 2 ft x 8 ft and 4 ft x 8 ft sizes in various thicknesses, with a listed R-value of 5.0 per inch (R-20 at 4.0 in), and Types VI, VII and V carry minimum compressive strengths of 40, 60 and 100 psi. The data sheet lists ASTM C578 Types XII, X, XIII, IV, VI, VII and V and CAN/ULC S701 Type 4.
