rooflite semi-intensive is an engineered green roof growing medium from Skyland USA for perennial green roofs and turf on structure. It is normally installed at a depth of 6 to 8 inches and supports perennials, ornamental grasses, small shrubs and evergreens. The line is offered in saturated weight classes 600 (60-70 lbs/ft3), 700 (70-80 lbs/ft3), 800 (80-90 lbs/ft3) and 900 (90+ lbs/ft3), numbered by typical fully saturated weight per ASTM E2399, and not every class is available in every region. rooflite soils are blends of graded porous lightweight aggregates (pumice or expanded clay, slate or shale) with USCC STA compost, sold by the cubic yard and delivered in bulk, super sacks or one cubic foot bags.
