Yeti is a series of half-round aluminum or copper pad-style snow guards with a larger cupped pad, offered as the Yeti 6, Yeti 9, Yeti 18 and two tile models (Tile Barb and Tile Hook). The Yeti 18 is 18 inches in overall length with a 15.75 inch strap and is intended for new natural and synthetic slate, shake, cedar shingle and direct-to-deck tile roofs with higher snow loads or steeper pitches; it is installed with four ring-shank nails. The Yeti 18 system packet prints a pad area of 4.17 square inches, while its product page describes 4.1 square inches of pad area with a 1/4 inch cupped edge.
