Rocky Guard is a line of welded-gusset metal pad-style snow guards offered in 5, 7, 10 and 16 inch overall lengths plus a tile model (RG5, RG7, RG10, RG16 and RG-Tile). The RG5 system packet describes an ultra-strong gusset design with a pre-drilled strap for nail or screw fastening, a 4.28 square inch pad area, and a 5 inch overall length, and lists retrofit use on asphalt shingle roofs, metal panel and metal shingle roofs with lighter snow loads, and certain synthetic shingle roofs. Retrofit installation uses two exposed self-sealing Woodbinder Eclipse fasteners per guard, sold separately. The RG5 packet lists copper and powder-coated steel, while the RG5 product page lists powder-coated steel only.
