CorGard is a snow guard for 3/4 inch and 7/8 inch corrugated metal roof panels, not for 1/2 inch corrugated panels. It fastens through the top of the corrugation rather than the trough to reduce water ponding around fasteners, has an overall height of 2.5 inches, and sits 0.1875 inch above the trough of the panel to allow drainage. The system packet lists 7 gauge cold rolled, powder-coated and zinc-coated (galvanized) steel and 0.1875 inch mill or powder-coated aluminum; the raw steel variant is intended to rust to match a weathered metal roof. Installation uses two Woodbinder Eclipse fasteners per guard, sold separately.
