Reinke Shakes LT is a tightly corrugated metal roofing shingle introduced in 2019, formed from twenty gage (.030) aluminum alloy with a baked-on fluorocarbon finish, or from solid 16 ounce copper left uncoated to patina. The standard shingle is 13 in. wide by 16 1/2 in. high with a 12 1/2 in. by 16 in. exposure, corrugated to a height of .400 in. at 1/2 in. spacing, and weighs 58 pounds per square in aluminum or 138 pounds per square in copper. The maker lists a minimum 2/12 pitch over 5/8 in. minimum solid sheeting with the whole roof covered in 50 mil ice and water shield. Its technical data states a fire result of U.L. Class B as is, and Class A when installed over DensDeck or VersaShield. The maker also cites a "Class 5" hail rating of its own alongside UL 2218 Class 4; that in-house rating is not a UL 2218 class.
