StormStop is Quarrix's HDPE plastic ridge and hip vent with a patented spun-bound weather-blocker membrane in place of an external baffle, sold in 20-foot rolls (11 1/4, 9 and 7 in. wide) and 4-foot sections, and installed with a nail gun. The product page prints 12.7 square inches of net free area for the 5/8 in. high versions and 19 for the 1 in. high 11 1/4 in. and 9 in. sections, a 3:12 to 20:12 slope range, and use with asphalt shingles, standing seam metal, cedar shakes, slate and flat tile, and calls it hurricane approved. Its information sheet carries a UL-style classification reading "RIDGE VENTS - CLASS A or C AS TO AN EXTERNAL FIRE EXPOSURE ONLY", ICC-ES report ESR-2664, Florida approval FL# 16096.2 for the 11 in. vent, and a Miami-Dade County product control label naming VERSCENE Inc., Baldwyn, MS, with NOA No. 12.0907.05 and an expiration date of 10/31/13.
