Tile Flash 30XL/60XL is a self-adhering, cold-applied flashing tape used on flat, low and high profile concrete or clay hip and ridge roof tiles to block wind and rain. The data sheet describes a proprietary asphalt/SBS adhesive with an internal aluminum sheet and a black facer film, offered 30 mil (30XL) or 60 mil (60XL) thick in 9-inch and 12-inch widths and 50-foot rolls, with an in-service range of -45 F to 240 F and test results to ASTM D1970 methods for nail sealability and cold-temperature pliability. The data sheet calls it exposable, while IAPMO UES evaluation report ER-0362, which recognizes Tile Flash 60XL as flashing under concrete or clay hip and ridge tiles, states it is not to be installed exposed to the weather.
