Rainproof-40 is a cold-applied, self-adhering SBS-modified rubberized asphalt sheet underlayment internally reinforced with a non-woven polyester fabric and topped with a white reflective fabric for footing and heat reduction, used as a complete waterproof underlayment on new and retrofit roofs and at valleys, hips, ridges, rake edges and around skylights and chimneys. The data sheet prints a mottled-white membrane measured at 49 mils against a 40 mil requirement, 36-inch by 67-foot rolls (201 sq ft), a 2.5-inch zip-strip release liner, an in-service range of -45 F to 250 F, a 6-month exposure rating and passing results to the ASTM D1970 test methods, and lists Florida approvals FL 17155 and FL 41542; the product page adds Miami-Dade NOA 22-0425.02. It is one of the membranes in IAPMO UES evaluation report ER-0390 and is covered by the Protecto Wrap Standard 10 Year Limited Warranty.
