Polybond is a polyester-reinforced APP modified bitumen membrane for heat-welded application, with a smooth surface and a polyolefin backing. It is used as a heat-welded base sheet or cap sheet, directly over an acceptable substrate or in a multi-ply system, and as a flashing membrane; the data sheet says not to use cold adhesives or hot asphalt for details. It lists a nominal 145 mil thickness, 32 ft 10 in by 39-3/8 in rolls covering about 100 sq ft, and ASTM D6222 Type I, UL Classified, FM Approved, Miami-Dade County, Texas Department of Insurance and HUD Materials Release 1320d. Its product disclaimer warrants against manufacturing defects that directly result in leakage for 5 years.
