A gasketless retrofit pipe-boot system, made from a UV-stabilized polymer, that slides over an existing failed roof vent flashing to stop leaks without removing shingles and installs with no tools. The PBR 312 retrofit line covers 1-1/2", 2", 3" and 4" vent pipes (item numbers 82870-82880), including a 3N1 adaptable model that fits 1-1/2", 2" and 3" pipes, and the base self-adjusts to roof pitches from 3/12 to 12/12. The specification sheet warns that petroleum-based mastics, sealing compounds, or paints degrade the flashing and void the warranty, and IPS warrants the system for the life of the existing shingles. Originally an independent brand, Perma-Boot has been manufactured by IPS Corporation's Water-Tite division since its 2025 acquisition from Manning Building Products LLC.
