Curbs that prevent leaks across a commercial roof's expansion joint (EJ), which accommodates thermal movement of the roof system, or control joint (CJ), which divides roof areas for maintenance or future replacement and is not intended for structural movement. They are built of internally reinforced heavy-gauge galvanized steel with a pressure-treated wood nailer in straight-sided (EJ-2, CJ-2), canted (EJ-1, CJ-1) and raised-cant (EJ-5, CJ-5) styles, with options for fiberglass insulation, aluminum or stainless steel, special heights and pitches, mitered and welded corners, tees and crosses, and sloping end sections.
