DeckDefense is Owens Corning's high-performance synthetic roof underlayment with a TruTread textured walking surface, a fusion back coating that grips the deck, a preprinted nailing pattern and up to 180 days of UV exposure. The June 2025 data sheet lists a 30-year limited warranty and gives a 10-square roll of 286 ft. x 42 in. (40 lbs. including core) and a 5-square roll of 143 ft. x 42 in., light gray; the product page instead lists a 10-square roll of 250 ft. x 48 in. weighing 36 lb. with 937 sq. ft. of coverage at a 3 in. overlap. Its ASTM E108/UL 790 Class A fire resistance applies only when installed under asphalt shingles.
