The OMG XHD is a #15 roofing fastener with oversized shank and thread diameters, deep buttress threads and a miniature drill point, made to secure insulation and membrane to light gauge steel, OSB, plywood and wood plank decks. It has a #3 Phillips truss head, a 0.265-in. thread diameter, OMG's CR-10 corrosion-resistant coating, and lengths from 2 to 16 in. (up to 24 in. on request), and it can be driven with the AccuTrac system. The data sheet says the CR-10 coating passes the corrosion requirements of FM Approval Standard 4470 and EAD 030351-00-0402 and that the fastener is Factory Mutual and Miami-Dade approved, noting that FM does not recognize OSB or plywood deck types. The data sheet describes the steel decks as 20 gauge and lighter, while the product page says steel of 20 and 22 gauge.
