RhinoBond Plates are 3-in. (80 mm) round plates of specially coated Galvalume with a recessed center and a raised flat bonding surface, made to secure roof insulation and TPO or PVC thermoplastic membranes as part of OMG's RhinoBond induction-welded attachment system, which holds the membrane and insulation with the same fastener and plate without penetrating the membrane. The plates go in with OMG-manufactured fasteners on steel, wood or structural concrete decks (predrilled on structural concrete), are gold for TPO and black for PVC, and ship 500 to a weather-resistant pail. OMG says the plates meet FM 4470 criteria for corrosion resistance and calls RhinoBond a Factory Mutual approved system, directing readers to the specific membrane manufacturers for FM approvals; Factory Mutual listings name the product RhinoBond Insulation Plate (PVC, TPO).
