OlyBond500 is a fast-acting, two-component, low-rise polyurethane foam adhesive for adhering most insulation types and cover boards to common roof decks in new and re-roofing work, including multi-layer insulation. It is dispensed as a semi-liquid bead that spreads and rises about 1/2 to 1 in., and it cures chemically in roughly 4 to 8 minutes depending on temperature and weather. It comes in 1500 ml SpotShot cartridges, 5-gallon bag-in-box sets, 15-gallon drums and canister sets, in a regular grade for 40 F and above and a winter grade for 0 F to 65 F (cartridges) or 25 F to 65 F (bag-in-box and drums). The data sheet lists substrates from structural concrete, gypsum and steel of 22 gauge or thicker to plywood, smooth BUR and modified bitumen, and says OlyBond500 is approved by most roof system manufacturers and is Factory Mutual, Miami Dade, Underwriters Laboratories and Florida Building Code approved, without printing approval numbers.
