Newmont Slate's patented slate hooks, which it describes as the foundation of its QWIK Slate and Slate Shield installation systems. They are made from 12-gauge 304 stainless steel, anodized black, in multiple sizes and configurations for different slate widths and thicknesses, with custom fabrication available on request. Newmont states the Butterfly design gives superior wind resistance compared with standard hooks; it publishes no tested wind rating for it.
