Permathane Aliphatic II is Neogard's urethane coating system over new spray polyurethane foam roofing (foam by others): a 70620-CA aromatic urethane base coat under a 7490-CA aliphatic urethane topcoat, with optional roofing granules, built in 10-, 15- and 20-year warranty versions. The system page and guide specification state that the 20-year Very Severe Hail build meets FM4473 Class 4; the guide specification states the system is certified compliant with ANSI/UL 790 and calls for Class A under ASTM E108. The system page adds that it is FM Approved only as a maintenance coating under FM Standard 4470 and not as a liquid-applied roof cover. The system page recommends foam of 2.7 to 3.2 pounds density, while the guide specification calls for 2.9 to 3.2 pcf.
