DEXcell Glass Mat Roof Board is a gypsum roof board with coated fiberglass facers on the face, back and sides and a mold- and moisture-resistant core, used as a substrate board, thermal barrier and cover board under mechanically attached and ballasted single-ply membranes and metal roofing; National Gypsum also recommends it under wood shakes. The submittal sheet prints 1/4, 1/2 and 5/8 inch (Type X) 4 by 8 foot boards, 900 psi compressive strength, 23 to 25 perms, flame spread 0 and smoke developed 0, a mold score of 10 (ASTM D3273), UL Class A to unlimited slope per UL 790, FM Class 1, compliance with FM 4450 and FM 4470, and manufacture to ASTM C1177.
