Mule-Hide's polyester-reinforced APP (Atactic Polypropylene) modified bitumen roofing membrane designed for heat-welded (torch) application as a base sheet, interply, cap sheet or flashing in new roofing, recover (retrofit) and flashing details. Constructed with premium APP resins and a smooth surface with a polyolefin backing, it is applied over an acceptable substrate as part of a multi-ply system and is not intended for direct application to a combustible substrate. Meets ASTM D6222 Type I requirements. The product data sheet lists Factory Mutual, Underwriters Laboratories, Miami-Dade, Florida Product Approval, ICC-ESR and Texas Department of Insurance as code approvals "available," directing installers to contact Mule-Hide's technical department for product-specific ratings; no UL 790/ASTM E108 roof covering class is stated for this product, and the data sheet instructs installers to verify the fire rating of the roofing assembly over any combustible substrate.
