Asphalt-based aluminum roof coatings for new or existing APP and SBS modified bitumen cap sheets, asphalt built-up roofs and flashings, sold in four grades: #401 Premium Fibrated, #406 Standard Fibrated, #410 Premium Non-Fibrated and #416 Standard Non-Fibrated. The premium grades carry more aluminum pigment per gallon; the non-fibrated grades spread more easily. The data sheets state the fibrated grades meet or exceed ASTM D2824 and the non- fibrated grades meet or exceed ASTM D2824 Type I. They cover about 1 to 1.5 gallons per 100 square feet, must be power-mixed, are for areas with positive drainage only and are not for single-ply membranes. They come in 5-gallon pails and 50 or 55-gallon drums.
