The DS custom duct supports (6-DS, 8-DS and 10-DS) are job-specific strut frames on the maker's patented bases that carry single or multiple tiers of duct, pipe or cable tray, in an open configuration or enclosing the duct top and bottom. On the 8-DS the duct rests on a 1-5/8 x 1-5/8 inch channel strut adjusted with channel nuts in the corner brackets, on 16 x 18 inch polycarbonate bases (stainless steel also available), with a minimum clearance of 14 inches. The product page limits loading from any base to the roof surface to 3.0 psi unless project specifications allow otherwise, limits header-bar deflection to span/360 or 1/8 inch, and sets spacing not to exceed 8 foot centers depending on the load.
