Classic Rib is an exposed-fastener steel roof panel that Metal Roofing Center builds at its Foley, Alabama plant, with 36 inch coverage and a 3/4 inch rib height, in 29, 26 and 24 gauge, in lengths from 36 inches to 40 feet. It is made from Grade 50/E or Grade 80/D steel per ASTM A792 and is offered in Galvalume and Ceram-A-Star 1050 stock colours, with Kynar by special order. The maker lists a 3:12 minimum recommended slope and performance testing to UL 580-94 and UL 1897-98 in accordance with the Florida Building Code 2004. It is for open framing or solid substrates, recommended over 5/8 inch plywood decking with a 30-pound felt moisture barrier.
