An extruded heavy-gauge aluminum replacement for stacked wood nailers at the roof perimeter, sold in 1.5 in., 3 in. and 5.2 in. face heights and a version for metal retrofits, in 12-foot lengths with pre-punched staggered holes and supplied fasteners. Metal-Era states the 3 in. version replaces two wood nailers and lets 3 in. of polyiso plus a 1/2 in. cover board run continuously to the edge, and that it is non-combustible. The product page prints testing to ANSI/SPRI/FM 4435/ES-1, Factory Mutual approval for wind uplift and Miami-Dade approval No. 23-0912.08, and a Lifetime, 215 MPH wind warranty for the life of the roof.
