Roof & Tile Primer is a water-based acrylic penetrating primer that is white as a liquid and dries clear and not tacky, used to improve adhesion of elastomeric coatings to existing roof and walking surfaces. The product page lists it for tile, concrete and porous walking surfaces and for EPDM, BUR and modified cap sheet, tar and gravel, and spray polyurethane foam roof systems, applied by spray or roll and sold in 2-gallon, 5-gallon, 55-gallon and 275-gallon packages. Its technical data sheet lists use over wood, asphalt-based surfaces, concrete, stone, slate, metal, tile, fiberglass, stucco and acrylic-coated surfaces, states that it contains no zinc oxide, and gives 16 to 20 percent solids and 700 percent film elongation at break.
