Mega-Rib is McElroy Metal's heavy exposed-fastener roof and wall panel for spanning strength on large commercial and industrial buildings, post-frame and pre-engineered metal buildings, with a 1-1/2 inch rib height and major ribs 7.2 inches on center. Standard material is 24 gauge Galvalume, with 22 gauge on inquiry and optional 26, 20 and 18 gauge; the page states 26 gauge coverage is 36 inches from the Adelanto plant and 28.8 inches from all other locations. It installs over solid deck or open framing on a 1:12 minimum slope with tape sealant required at all slopes, in Kynar 500 (PVDF) or acrylic-coated Galvalume or Zincalume Plus. The page's approvals list reads UL 263 Class A, UL 580 Class 90, ASTM E1680/E1646, UL 2218 Class 4, ASTM E1592, Florida product approval, Miami-Dade NOA 23-0720.05 and IAPMO report ER-0270.
