LayflatSBS is MBTechnology's family of SBS-modified base sheets, used as a base or ply under one of its cap sheets and intended to minimize the buckling, wrinkling and fish mouths associated with unmodified base plies. It is applied with hot asphalt, cold adhesive or mechanical fasteners, with polyester, glass or fiberglass scrim reinforcement. The product page lists four weights of 25, 40, 50 and 60 lbs per square, while the older product data sheet states it is available in three weights, 28 lb., 42 lb. and 65 lb.
