Ice & Moisture Block SBS is a self-adhesive, SBS-modified rubberized asphalt underlayment applied under a split release sheet at eaves, ridges, valleys, dormers and skylights against windblown rain and ice damming. It comes in three grades: SA65G with fine granule surfacing for tile and shingle roofs, SA65S with a smooth sand finish that can also serve as a self-adhesive base for APP and SBS systems, and UltraStick-HT SA68PHT with a slip resistant polyester top surface that the product page lists as suitable for metal and tile roofs. The SA65G data sheet lists a fiberglass mat, a nominal thickness of 65 mil and ASTM D1970, and states that grade is not suitable for use under metal roofs. MBTechnology publishes a registered 20-year limited material warranty for the line.
