Retro-R is an MBCI exposed-fastener steel retrofit panel installed directly over an existing R panel roof or wall, without removal of the old panels, and carries a Drip Stop membrane to keep rust from the old panel off the new one. The product page gives a 36-inch coverage width, a 1/2:12 minimum slope, 12-inch rib spacing and a 1-1/16-inch rib height, in 29-gauge (standard) or 26-gauge steel with a smooth finish and Galvalume Plus or Signature 200 coatings. The page states it is approved in Florida for roof applications in minimum 26-gauge installed over minimum 29-gauge PBR panel.
